What Our Chamber Members Have to Say:

The City of Lafayette has been unbelievably welcoming and supportive to our efforts at The Post. The building department and construction services were the easiest we have ever dealt with. The Chamber engaged us early on good East County business practices. The residents of Lafayette have visited us early and often since the day we opened. Couldn't have had a better reception from the population of Lafayette and the surrounding cities in East County.  Before we existed, The VFW was a family gathering place for generations and The Post has continued to carry that flag with the addition of fried chicken and delicious beer. Those children who grew up going to the box car races, pancake breakfasts, and steak nights are now bringing their families in.  We were welcomed by the Chamber & the community to be the place for people to enjoy delicious beer, games in the backyard, and incredible food.  The chamber has embraced The Post & GoodBird Kitchen along with other local breweries by creating the Lafayette Brew Fest, and dining with their families at The Post week after week.

As someone who moved across the country to start a business in Lafayette, the Chamber was my first stop.  I didn't know anyone.  The Chambers was my first opportunity to become part of the community.  it is a place where I've built relationships that continue to benefit me, my family and my business.

Imagination Technology has been a member of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce since 2003. In that time, we have gotten many referrals for our graphic design and website business, both from the faculty at the Chamber and other business members of the Chamber. It’s a great way to network!

Robin Meetz, Owner / Creative Director – Imagination Technology Corporation

"The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce is the most valuable organization for local business networking.  People like doing business with people they know.  The Chamber empowers me and keeps me on the cutting edge of what's happening in this community.  Our business has been in the Lafayette Chamber for over 50 years—we would not be the business we are today without  their help."

Lori Wheat, Merchandise / Marketing Director—Lafayette Florist, Gift Shop & Garden Center

The new networking functions the Chamber has begun hosting have already proven valuable.  I’ve been able to connect with businesses, initiate discussions, and create collaborations that are proving to be very beneficial.

Debbie Wilmot / Marketing/Community Relations—City of Lafayette Recreation Dept.

“One of my first tasks when I started my business was to join the Lafayette Chamber.  Becoming a more involved community member was what I wanted to do after leaving IBM to start my business.  The more active I have been in the Chamber; the more I have gained in regards to new friends, clients, prospects and networking partners.  There is truly something for everyone (leads group, city events, golf tournament, ribbon cuttings, posting events in the newsletter, breakfast/lunch and evening networking events….and lots more).  I encourage everyone to get involved with the Chamber!”

Susan Bateman / President - CMIT Solutions

"The Chamber is a great resource for new or potential residents and businessesThey are a good referral service as members, residents and businesses are referred to members of the Chamber. You can use the Camber as a vehicle to meet other local business people through after hours and ribbon cuttings. The Chamber is a voice of the business community taking a leadership role in helping the needs of businesses in the community. They coordinate the promotion of the area and organize many special events, such as the peach festival, oatmeal festival and brew fest. The Chamber has a goal to promote the community and to ensure a better area in which to live, work and play"
